The F.I.N. System

Learn to Play Guitar Chords on Demand

The F.I.N. System gives you the skill to play any chord on demand without ever having seen it on a chord chart. You may see F#7b9 on a piece of sheet music and without hesitation play that chord in three different places on the guitar fretboard. With this system you can watch other guitarists, and identify instantly what chords they are playing. If you write music, you will be able to accurately transcribe chords and voicings that you create. Lastly, this system is designed to give you the control of your guitar so you can experience the musical freedom that comes from being a player with a solid chordal foundation.

Introduction
F.I.N. stands for fretboard, intervals, and notes. When you know how these elements come together in the shaping of guitar chords, you will appear to have super powers when you jam with others.

Fretboard. Intervals. Notes. Any one of these topics by itself can overwhelm you with boring minutia. However, the F.I.N. System organizes this information and presents the most important stuff you need to know. Having fun playing the guitar and getting there as fast a possible is the goal of this system.

This presentation is designed to help guitarist of many different skill levels. If you already have some familiarity with the fretboard, intervals, and chords feel free to start where you like. Otherwise, you will benefit from the step-by-step description that will lead you to the ultimate goal of playing chords on demand.

Where to Start?
Below is a list of topics that will give you a thorough understanding of the F.I.N. System. If you're not real solid with finding notes on the fretboard, you might want to start with topic #1. On the other hand if you are a pretty good player and understand intervals and chord formulas, you might do okay starting right into the heart of the matter at topic #8. At any rate, you can start anywhere. The important thing to do is just start.
